The Winstar Municipal Speed Radar System uses Doppler Radar technology to measure and record vehicle speeds with precision across multiple lanes — day or night, in all weather conditions. Municipalities can configure the system for traffic studies, speed data gathering, and community safety initiatives, helping identify problem areas and support traffic-calming decisions. This system is fully upgradeable — allowing municipalities to start with speed detection today and later add camera traffic monitoring or license plate recognition (LPR) for full monitoring and enforcement.
With IP65-rated weather protection, AC or solar power options, and secure web-based control, this system delivers dependable results and long-term reliability for continuous traffic monitoring.
For best performance, we recommend A/C Wired power with a direct ethernet connection, installed by a Winstar Professional Installation Partner or a qualified local contractor. Please review our Recommended Installation Guide and Specifications.
